Privacy policy
WorkBlast.com collects certain information in order to establish a member account at sign up. This information is used for the following general purposes: profile creation, authentication of legitimate users, service improvement, contact, and research. WorkBlast will not share or sell any member information to any other organizations or 3rd parties for any purpose, except under the following circumstances: first, it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Terms and Conditions, or as otherwise required by law; second, we transfer information about you if WorkBlast is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, WorkBlast will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Information gathered and usage. When a member registers with WorkBlast we ask for information such as your name, email address, country, profession/desired profession, location/desired location, highest level of education and, if college was attended, we ask for the state and name of the institution. Members who sign up for the free account are required to enter the above information. Within the profile are areas where member may voluntarily provide additional personal information. All information collected is used to improve the content of our Web pages and the quality of our service.
Cookies. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a web site’s computers and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies are required to use the WorkBlast platform and services. We use cookies to record current session information, but do not use permanent cookies.
Data storage. WorkBlast uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run WorkBlast. Although WorkBlast owns the code, databases, and all rights to the WorkBlast application, you retain all rights to your data.
Disclosure. WorkBlast may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Terms and Conditions.
Changes. WorkBlast may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in your WorkBlast profile or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
